Stocking the Freezer for Fall

A list of some components I’d like to prepare for the freezer for easier fall cooking:

  • Pizza Dough
  • Pastry Dough
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Vegetable Broth
  • Caramelized Onion ‘Sausage’
  • Sven’s Bread
  • Sandwich Bread
  • Mint and Cilantro Chutney
  • Ilarion’s salsa
  • Muffins
  • A few containers of cooked chickpeas and other beans

And for the refrigerator or pantry:

  • Cleaned herbs from the garden
  • Dried hot peppers from the garden
  • Boiled Beets

Usually by this point in September I’ve already begun stocking for fall, but it’s been terribly hot and I haven’t even wanted to begin thinking of food. Typically I enjoy cooking the end of summer bounty on cooler days when it is nice to use the oven again. Hopefully this will happen over the weekend when a cold front is scheduled to come.
